In love with Switzerland
A week after starting my internship. My boss give me 5 days holidays and 2 days off. After finished my worked,I started planning which
countries will I go,first I planned to go to Copenhagen. But,in the evening my closest friend who study in Lucerne call me and she invite
me to come to Switzerland. After thinking about all things then I reserve ticket from Hamburg to Zurich and back to Berlin. I very excited
about this trip since I heard many stories about Switzerland. Because of my sudden plan,I didn't have time to change my euro into swiss
franc(CHF).
Around 10 P.M I arrived at Zurich Airport. The funny story is my friend pick-up in the wrong terminal. It's been a while since I met her
for the last time in one of famous event in Jakarta. She take quick dinner at Airport food court after that. Then,we directly head to Luzern
by train.
Because my friend has morning class to attend. So,her closest friend accompany me to strolling around Lucerne. First,we visit the chapel bridge,
an old wooden bridge near Lucerne central station and surrounded by many bakeries,high-branded watch stores,cafes,and many more. After that,we
went to the lion monument,one of Lucerne famous tourism attractions. Lion Monument was stand for swiss guards whose killed during French Revolution. The monument itself located behind a famous restaurant,just turn left after you see that restaurant and don't follow google maps
because it will show you to behind the monument.
After my friend finished her class,we met at Lucerne central station. I am so excited because we will go to Grindelwald,a small beauty village that surrounded my beautiful Swiss Alps in Jungfrau Region. On my way to Grindelwald the panorama outside the train was very spectacular and can't be describe,beautiful lake and valley,beautiful wooden house. It took almost 2.5 hours to reach Grindelwald. Due to our budget we didn't try the ski and strolling around the village. During our random walking we found a direction to a glacier. But,unluckily it closed during winter season and it will open next May. Even we couldn't entered to the glacier we are very grateful to witness a beautiful panorama near the glacier location. And my tips is please using bus to reach the glacier because it's a bit far for zentrum village ,but if you do not in a rush just walking and seeing around. My journey to Switzerland wouldn't be completed without eating cheese fondue,before we heading back to Lucerne we try local restaurant name Barry which has a good black beer and cheese fondue.
It is sad when I have to go back to Germany in the next day. Switzerland was truly beautiful. I just don't like the living cost,it is 3 times expensive than Germany. So,just prepared your money and mental of losing money but it's all worth it in the end.
